Cheryl Booth Slonecker

After graduating from Cal and getting our teaching credentials at Cal State Hayward, my husband and I moved to Nevada to teach. We started out in a small mining community of about 1,000 people called Gabbs. Quite different form the Bay Area!!
Five years later we moved to Fallon, Nevada and have been here ever since. It was a great place to raise our two boys. In Fallon I taught fourth, fifth, or sixth grades. Now when I have time I return to substitute
We love to travel. We have spent many summers exploring the western states and Canada. Now we enjoy spending our summers in our RV on the Oregon Coast.
We have traveled to Italy, Ireland, Germany, and France. We are currently getting ready for a trip to England, Wales, and Scotland.
My younger son and his wife and our two grandchildren live south of Austin, Texas. As often as I can I will be there to visit as they are growing up so fast and I don't want to miss their younger years.
